Screws were insanely tight, stripped pretty damn easily. This thing sucks!!

@@Chris-vc1dh the metal plate affects how your throttle feels ok, sorry for my poor explaination. lol OO <---- (lleft one: for throttle up down resistence.) (right one: if you like the "ratchet" feel, tighten that too., if not, let it be loose.) | | | | | | | | O <-------- tighten down all the way.

This procedure is jus horribly bad designed - old taranis x9d do this MUCH easier and much more precise.

I thought my tension was too high so I took my springs completely out and lost them. I am now thinking about buying new ones. However, what is the point of swapping springs ??
Cuz other springs included are softer ones, so the tension is less pronounced(sticks move easier)

Well I noticed it went on and off a couple of times so I just added the power mod. I wish I ran the cable through the goggles though.

@@waynefpv I used a Dremel cut a small slit to run the cable neatly and put it inside. Works great. Late reply but hey!

yes you can just have to pick mode = 3 in freedom TX

cool wayne! the important part for me was: after the 3-2-1 phase, where you need to move in + pattern, I think it's best to only draw one really good + on each stick - and not multiple... Initially I thought I messed up my tango2 when changing the board to v3... but now the sticks work without having to take the radio apart again :)

The softer spring feels different.. I just swapped mine.. I had better flight experience with softer spring. I'm a pincher but after switching, thumbing feels great too.
Tried the lowest setting on the original springs, it was still tight for me.

Hello Guys, after watching this video I still don't know for what it is. I want to buy the TBS fusion for my eachine EV200D but..is there any hardware mod to be done? Thanks guys
So did you get the Fusion? Did it work? Did you do this kind of mod? I too have the ev200d. Was wondering why this is needed.
@@jumpstartfpv I got the fusion and it worked straight away in my old Eachine EV200D. Now I have the Orqa FPV1 and the TBS fusion also worked well.

Thanks for the video my dude! I followed it to and changed them easily. Then I put it all back together and dropped the last screw inside and it stuck to a magnet on a gimbal... now I gotta take it all apart again. 😂
Thanks for the video :) Do you know how to adjust Throttle/Pitch Throw on the Tango 2 ? They list it as a feature of the Transmitter but i can't find anything about it online.
Thanks, I could not work out what move in + pattern meant until I saw your video, in hindsight it was obvious! Have you found the gimbal tension to be too high and cause vibration?

Wayne, what do I do if the right stick doesnt read input during calibration?
If you do them individually, instead of a count down it will have you press enter to continue. I found this to be more precise as I could line them up perfectly.
I connected everything exactly that way but my TBS keeps turning off and on. Do you know what's going on? ;) I have Dominator V3
I'm still a bit confused about this mod... I am wanting to install a TBS Fusion as an input for the DJI fpv goggles. Is the upgraded mod essential? What is the actual issue?

Well f me. Wish I would have watched this before I swapped my springs out and lost one.
Are the gimble springs adjustable?
the tango2 comes with 2 sets of extra springs. 2 x Default (shorter) 2 x softer (longer)
On my QX7 I have the springs adjusted at maximum looseness possible and it feels effortless to move the sticks. I got a X-lite and the springs were so stiff my flying was weird and my fingers ached after. I kinda hoped the Tango2 would be fully adjustable. How loose are the looser springs? Are they as loose as a fully loosened QX7 or X9D?
Mine came with 4 springs. (1 set) Soft (longer) I only changed 3.. (throttle needs none) Used the 500mw mod youtube vid to see how to get to this point. (Helped alot)

Hey, swapping out gimbals should be fairly straight forward. You will know once you receive the unit. Because there are no electronics on the gimbals, there are no plugs or wires connected to it. all you gotta do is undo the screws holding the PCB and Gimbals, install the pro gimbals and scew the PCB back on then reassemble the housing. dont forget to recalibrate them too, let me know if you need help.
@@waynefpv yes i will thank you i had trouble changing my channel maps on my radio but i kinda figured it out can you do a video on how to bind and change channel maps on your tbs tango 2 radio thank you wayne
@@SeeFPv-qm6ie because it uses freedomtx is a fork of opentx, you can use any tutorial on openTX to do this, it's not specific to the tango 2 :)

Wayne, could you do a setting failsafe video?
setting failsafe is the same as the regular XF module via LUA. Short press MENU > CROSSFIRE MENU > Tango II XF > Set Failsafe
Do you know if the non-pro version the stick ends are M3 be nice to be able to change those out for different styles

Thanks for sharing. I really thought I had to disassemble my Dom V3's. I used the Dremel to open the small hole.
